Document, Forms and Templates:
An S-corporation runs on documents. Every corporation is formed and chartered with documents. Documents are used to administer, direct, operate and guide the S-corporation. Another type of document evidences and represents ownership. Orders, sales, shipping, and bookkeeping all have their own unique documents. Documents, documents, documents. Corporations are all about documents and documentation. The better conceived and constructed its documentation, the stronger the entity.
Learn about corporate documents. Be fore warned: not all documents are created equal. Documents are not merely templates with write-ins. They are organic. Each is necessarily molded for its purpose unique to the company. Getting your company’s documents in order is essential to smooth operation for your S-Corporation. Forms look deceptively similar to documents, but they are really vehicles for organizing and submitting pertinent information for a specific purpose. These days, everyone has one, or more forms. Usually one for every purpose. The government, the tax authorities, local governments, banks, credit card companies, doctors, lawyers… The list is virtually endless. You will not find all forms for every occasion here.
There are however a few essential forms; those or links to them can be found here. Experience dictated their presence. Most forms come with self-contained instructions. Do not skip reading those. Their inclusion by its author is purposefully, not fluff for an official looking facade.
Templates are wonderful. Templates enjoy wide and popular use. On their face they appear to be more than they really are.
